Trust & protection

Accredited, protected, independently reviewed

Every brand in the group sells under the same membership and the same protections. Here is what they cover and where to read the terms.

Accreditation

Who holds us to account

Two independent bodies, neither of them ours.

  • ABTA Member

Member of the Association of British Travel Agents (Y6372), held to its code of conduct.

  • Trustpilot

Independently reviewed by golfers across every brand in the group.

What that means for your trip

The protection, in plain terms

  • ABTA membership and its code

Membership of the Association of British Travel Agents commits us to ABTA's Code of Conduct: accurate descriptions, clear terms, and an independent route to resolve a complaint if we cannot settle it between us.

  • The same protections across all three brands

Golf Travel Centre, golftours.com and Chaka Travel sell under one company's ABTA membership and one set of booking conditions. The trip changes enormously between them. The safety net does not change at all.

  • Your money is protected

Every package we sell is protected as the Package Travel Regulations 2018 require: if we became insolvent, you would get your money back, or finish your trip and get home. Your confirmation says how your booking is protected.

    Read the booking conditions
  • Reviews we do not control

Trustpilot collects feedback independently, after travel. We do not filter which customers are invited to review, which is the only thing that makes a review score worth reading.

Before you travel

Four things worth doing

Most problems on a golf trip are avoidable and are found in the paperwork, not on the course.
  • 01

Read the booking conditions for your trip

Deposit schedules, balance dates, name-change rules and cancellation terms vary by brand and by venue, because the underlying resort contracts do.

  • 02

Keep the group organiser in the loop

On a society or corporate booking, the organiser holds the contract and the payment schedule. Individual players should know both, which is why we issue per-player payment links rather than asking one person to float a trip.

  • 03

Take out travel insurance when you book

It is a condition of every booking, and it should cover cancellation as well as medical costs — the insurance you buy the day you book is the insurance that protects the deposit you have just paid.

  • 04

Tell us about anything that affects the golf

Handicaps, mobility, buggy requirements and playing partners are easier to arrange before a tee sheet is built than after.

Questions

Ask before you book, not after

If anything about the protection on your trip is unclear, the answer is a phone call away.
